You may have touched on the surface if you’ve taken a yoga class. But you don’t have to be a yogi to learn more about what are they and how you can tap into them on your own in order to assist you with bringing balance, healing and harmony into your life.
Chakra (cakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy centers located throughout our body. They are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay balanced as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being.
In this workshop we will focus on the 7 chakras that start at the Root (base of spine) and go up through the Crown (top of head) that when open and spinning allow our physical and emotional health to flourish. You will gain knowledge about each chakra (including meaning behind each symbol) as well as how to pay attention to signs from your physical and emotional health in order to know when balancing may be required.
We will explore balancing tools such as: breath work, essential oils, crystals, healing affirmations and Bija (seed) mantras (one –syllable sound) and other techniques to assist in bringing each chakra in balance to ensure energetic flow throughout the body.
It is through my journey I share ancient tools for modern day self-care. Energy healing has typically been practiced in alternative medicine; however; over the years it has been introduced into modern medicine. Examples include: vibrational sound energy, infrared lasers in treatment and Reiki within private practice and hospitals. My goal through this workshop is to empower other’s to be their own health & wellness advocate; to learn to listen and respond to one’s needs on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.

The workshop is held via ZOOM and will consist of approximately 1 hr and 30 minutes of classwork followed by a Guided Chakra Meditation.
It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes, use of yoga or Pilates mat for the meditation, notebook, pen, water.
